Be thankful….the CDC reports that H1N1 deaths have risen to 4000 so far, just in the US. 400 in the Ukraine….24000 people a year are diagnosed with throat cancer in the US. That’s just throat cancer. 10000 women a year in the US diagnosed with cervical cancer. 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their life time.
Do you have at least one person who loves you and talks to you every day?
Be thankful…. There are approximately 18000 rest homes in the US, all filled with lonely, forgotten people.
Are you reasonable sure you’re going to be alive tomorrow?
Be thankful….over 1.2 million people in hospice care don’t know for sure.
Is your family home for the holidays?
Be thankful….over 12000 military families have one member deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq.

Well …
I’m thankful for my life (overall) — despite there being a few rough patches.
also …
Having a roof over my head, & a warm bed.
Having good food to enjoy (proper nourishment).
Being surrounded by (mostly) caring people.
… that’s just basically a few things that I’m thankful for.
