IMDB rating: 6.40
Plot: A mother and her daughter, a mother and her son, and a man living with one and attracted to the other. Miro, a teen from Sarajevo, lives near King’s Cross with his mother; he’s nimble, able to run across roofs, so his uncle hires him to break into office skylights, so the uncle can boost computers. Twice they steal from Will’s architectural firm, so Will stakes it out at night. He follows Miro home and returns the next day and meets Miro’s mother, Amira. At home, Will’s relationship with Liv is strained - he feels outside Liv and her daughter Bea’s circle. The stakeout and Amira’s vulnerability are attractive alternatives to being at home. The police, too, watch Miro.

Home Invasion Questions Please Help!!!!?
OK I got a warrant for my arrest about 6 days ago for the crime of Home Invasion in the 3rd degree. Now I’ve read up on Home Invasion and it says a person who breaks and enters into a dwelling with the intent to commit a felony, larceny, or assault in the dwelling. Well the thing is, the house I went into was my friends and I didn’t break into it he told me the door was open, and he even gave me permission to enter his house. I was with another friend when this happened. The reason we went to his house is because we were skipping 5th and 6th period and we needed a place to go. So i texted my friend and asked him if i could go to his house and stay there for a bit, he said yes. Now once we were in there we sat down and watched TV. And i remember my friend saying his mom has medical weed and as a curious teen i went in search of it along with my friend who accompanied me. We found nothing of course but we found a bottle of 500mg vicodin with 3 left in the bottle. I took them and left the bottles there. Now Home Invasion in the third degree states that a person enters the house with the INTENT to commit a crime. Well we never went there to commit a crime but once we were in there for an hour we decided to go look for the medical weed. What i don’t understand is why I’m getting a felony charge for this…The crime occurred on November 10th and I had just turned 17 on November 7….I know i can be charged as an adult but I’m saying that the whole thing was a misunderstanding. I also talked to my friends mom(the owner of the house) and told her that I was the one who went in their house and took the vicodin. She understood and accepted my apology. But now the state wants to charge me saying that she cant drop the charges once shes already filed a police report….Please I’m freaking out I cant go to jail and its my senior year. Someone tell me how the police are justified to charge me with a felony when I had permission to enter my friends house…..
Simply get a statement from them and other witnesses showing the friendly relationship and that you had permission, since they didnt charge you with drugs and its a felony, you’ll get a lawyer and they dont have a case, get your friends to testify that it was a misunderstanding and wallah you’re home free!

Given you had permission to enter the dwelling, you should be able to get the charges reduced. There is one small matter there, assuming your friend is under 18, he has no legal authority to let you in, his mom does. The prosecutor can use that against you, although they probably won’t. The reason for the initial charge is that Larceny was committed, and the assumption was that’s why whoever entered the property went in.
You did take the pills without permission, and they are a controlled substance, that’s not going to go away easy, regardless of an apology.
You should probably be able to plea down to a collection of charges that does not involve jail time, probably probation, community service, and a fine. You will not get a clean record out of this (you probably would have if you had not taken the pills).

Do you still have the text from the son giving you permission to enter his home? That would sort the issue about home invasion, but of course then the Police can still charge you with burglary (stealing the Vicodin) and potentially possession.
Anyway, where do you get off searching someone elses home, rifling their belongings and intending to steal their weed?
I’m sure there is more to this than you have told us and to be honest you deserve a nice custodial sentence to encourage you not to be a thief in future.
Ask yourself this, how would you feel if someone did this to you?
